PREPARATION FOR YOUR SCHEDULED SLEEP STUDY:

 

 

  1. Follow your regular medication routine unless instructed otherwise.

 

  1. Avoid taking a late nap on the day of your scheduled sleep study.

 

  1. Bring the following items:

 

    • Medications you may need/want to take between 8 PM and 7 AM
    • Diabetes testing equipment, medication and/or something to eat before bed.
    • Respiratory equipment – Nebulizer and meds, Inhaler
    • Current CPAP mask

 

  1. Bring a change of clothing comfortable to wear during sleep.

 

  1. Feel free to bring any items that will make you more comfortable during your sleep study, (esp. your own pillow)

 

  1. After normal daytime hours the door is locked.  Please use the doorbell at night.

 

  1. If you feel you may have an illness that would affect the test, including congestion,      coughing, etc. please consider rescheduling your sleep study.

 

 

 

Please Note:

 

The Sleep Lab has a bathroom but no shower.

 

                        For an optimal test, we need a minimum of six hours time in bed.

 

 

 

Optional items to bring:

 

        ~ Something to read

        ~ A snack for the morning

        ~ Bottled water

        ~ Hairbrush, comb, toothbrush, slippers, etc.
